Bev’s latest TBR (to be read) list… 22 in 2022

Bev suggested this potential “fun list” topic, and I made one, and now she did too! Here’s bev’s TBR list (and little notes about why she chooses these):

I really want to clean out some of the books piling up in my kindle library and so when I saw this prompt of 22 in 22 I thought it could be a simple and fun way to tackle some of it.

I kind of just randomly scrolled through my library and picked what stood out to me, some of these books I can’t even remember the synopsis or why I had to buy it at the time.

Love From A to Z by S.K. Ali and Darius The Great is Not Ok by Adib Khorram. I remember that these had a lot of positive buzz and reviews.

The A.I. Who Loved Me by Alyssa Cole. Alyssa Cole is a favorite to many and I keep meaning to read her.

Twice Shy by Sarah Hogle. Something about a cinnamon role hero and a cute couple.

Carry the World by Susan Fanetti. I know I bought this because both Maryse and Jan really loved it. I know it is also an American historical about a teacher or librarian.

Paper Valentine by Brenna Yovanoff and The Surprising Power Of a Good Dumpling by Wai Chim are from recs from two different blogs.

The Night We Said Yes by Lauren Gibaldi is another rec from one of those blogs. I notice this one every time I look at my library and it is finally time to read it.

The Lion’s Den by Katherine St. John is one where the reviewer said to go in blind. I can’t remember if it is a mystery or a thriller. The review also said to not let the light hearted cover fool you.

I actually think I might go into all of these blind since for the most part I remember nothing but wanting to read them.
Except for these last two.

The Bookish Life of Nina Hill by Abbi Waxman is one I actually started to read and was really enjoying. But I put it down and somehow never picked it back up.

And finally Winter Garden by Adele Ashworth. This is one I’ve wanted to read long before I had a kindle, it’s loved by many HR readers.

So these are my most set in stone books want to read or DNF, if that happens, this year. Now I just need to choose one to start with.

We will be happy to hear your thoughts
